Israel’s southernmost city, a busy port as well as a popular resort, is located at the northern tip of the Red Sea. Temperatures often exceed 40 °C (104 °F) in summer, and 18 °C (64 °F) in winter, while water temperatures range between 20 and 26 °C (68 and 79 °F). The city’s beaches, nightlife and desert landscapes make it a popular destination for domestic and international tourism. Ovda international Airport is located in the south of the country about 60 km (40 miles) north of the city of Eilat.

Tel Aviv is the second largest city in Israel, situated on the Israeli Mediterranean coast. It is the country’s financial capital and a major performing arts and business center. Ben Gurion International Airport is located near the city of Lod, 15 km (9 mi) southeast of Tel Aviv. Israel Railways operates a train service to and from the airport to several parts of the country.
